Metals recycle forever
Metals are one of the simplest and most efficient materials to recycle. In fact, 75% of the aluminium produced in the 1800s is still in use today.
Metal alloys (like our cap), are also easily retrieved and melted down for re-use.
❶ SLS
Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is an artificial foaming agent found in lots of household goods like shampoo, bubble bath and also, toothpaste. There is growing concern that increasing use of SLS may cause harm to aquatic life. (1)
PAIST® contains a plant-based foaming agent derived from coconuts instead.
❷ Animal products
Many toothpaste brands still use animal-derived Glycerin in their formula. Glycerin holds onto water and prevents toothpaste from drying out in the tube.
We use plant-based glycerin instead and are proudly vegan and natural certified by reputable 3rd party organisations.
❸ Artificial Flavours
Most toothpastes you find on the high street contain artificial flavouring and sweeteners that mimic a minty taste. In other words, it’s not actually mint!
We use real mint or spearmint oil to give you that fresh feeling without using any artificial additives.
