Does your toothpaste contain fluoride?

Yes, all our toothpaste contains 1450ppm fluoride. It's essential to help fight tooth decay. Learn more about why you need to have fluoride in your toothpaste here.

Is your toothpaste safe for children?

PAIST is appropriate for children who are 7 years old and above. It is important, however, to ensure that children are under adult supervision to prevent swallowing of toothpaste or any risk of choking from the screw top lid.

Does your toothpaste help with gingivitis?

If you have recently been diagnosed with gingivitis by a Dentist, there is no need to worry! The good news is that this condition can be easily treated. PAIST contains fluoride and other ingredients that help eliminate the plaque and bacteria responsible for causing gingivitis. Additionally, it is crucial to brush your teeth twice daily using the correct technique. Using dental floss is also recommended in order to clean the areas between your teeth that brushing alone cannot reach.

How is PAIST different from other toothpaste brands?

Most people don’t have a clue what’s in their toothpaste. We were surprised to find that artificial ingredients, preservatives, flavours and abrasive agents were the norm.

We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that our toothpaste contains only the highest quality ingredients that are actually good for your teeth. Every ingredient has been selected to serve a purpose.

On top of this, our toothpaste is vegan and natural certified from reputable 3rd party organisations.

In other words, we don’t cut any corners.

Where is your toothpaste made?

Our toothpaste is made right here in the UK 🇬🇧.

How do you recycle PAIST?

Metals can be endlessly recycled without any loss of physical or chemical properties.

Our tube is made from aluminium which should be placed in your recycling bin. Aluminium is the easiest metal to recycle, using only 5% of the energy and emissions needed to make it from bauxite (aluminium ore).

Our zinc alloy cap should be disposed of in the general waste bin. In the UK, 95% of general waste is incinerated to generate electricity and metals are extracted from the ash for recycling.

Is your toothpaste suitable for vegans?

Yes!

In fact, our toothpaste is externally validated by one of the UK’s most reputable vegan societies.

Does PAIST contain SLS, artificial flavours or preservatives?

No!

We use a plant-based foaming agent instead of SLS. Our flavours are extracted from natural mint or spearmint leaves and we don’t use any preservatives.

    Great but expensive and cap can be difficult

    Great whitening toothpaste I feel safe using and saw results with right away! For context, I was not using a whitening toothpaste before, smoke cigarettes 2-4x a week, and drink tea and coffee every day— not super yellow teeth but for sure whiter now. The taste is great, minty but not too strong.

    Cons: Expensive! Screwing the cap on can also be difficult as the grooved area of the tube as well as the cap are made of metal. Additionally, sometimes I find some grey-ish residue around the tube opening. Hopefully just some toothpaste discolouration and not the degraded metal?

    Does the job and well!

    I have almost come to the end of my first tube and can definitely see a difference in the whiteness of my teeth! It is so nice to use a safe product and experience no sensitivity while still seeing results!

    Daily PAIST spearmint

    I’m very happy with this toothpaste. It feels and taste so very much like my old paste but knowing that it doesn’t contain the nasties and is plastic free makes it a more special experience cleaning my teeth somehow. I really like the design and feel of the tubes too - they are a pleasure to have in my bathroom.

    My teeth feel amazing!

    I’ve been long awaiting a toothpaste that’s 100% plastic free that has all the benefits of the leading toothpastes. Finally a way to use an every day product guilt-free. I was recommended to use a sensitive toothpaste by my dentist and Paist sensitive does the best job for me, great tasting and sensitivity is gone. Will be re-purchasing!
